Ton Fan Group

The Ton Fan Group (Mandarin 東方畫會, pinyin Dongfang Huahui), also known by the names Eastern Painting Society, Eastern Art Group and Orient Movement, is a Taiwanese avant-garde artistic movement founded ,amongst others like Hsiao Chin, by Ho-Kan in 1956 in Taipei Hence the other name of the group "Eight Great Outlaws". The creation of this group played a major role in the development of Taiwanese art, and the history of Chinese art in the 20th century.^[1]^[2]
