What this is[change | change source]
This is a personal template I made to welcome new users. But anyone else is welcome to use it too.
I made this since I didn't favor any of the existing welcome templates. It is based on Template:Welcome-personal but with a few changes. The main difference is that this one points the new user to Simple talk when they need help.
Usage[change | change source]
Place {{subst:User:Desertborn/Template:Welcome|YOURUSERNAME}} on a new user's talk page, where YOURUSERNAME is your user name.
Advanced usage[change | change source]
If you would like to add an extra message in the middle, use:
{{subst:User:Desertborn/Template:Welcome|YOURUSERNAME|middle message}}
If you would like to add an extra message in the middle and bottom, use:
{{subst:User:Desertborn/Template:Welcome|YOURUSERNAME|middle message|bottom message}}
