Immanuelle/Wakamatsu Ebisu Shrine is a Shinto shrine located in Japan. It is a Beppyo shrine, or a shrine that is particularly notable in a certain way with a significant history to it.[1] It worships Ebisu

History[change | change source]

The shrine is about 1,800 years old. Emperor Chūai and Empress Jingū visited Tsukusinokuni. During the visit, warlord Takeuchinosukune found a shining stone in the sea. They brought it to the nearby beach to worship it. This stone is still in the main shrine.[2]

Takeuchinosukune also planted a pine tree at the shrine. He sang a song about seeing the blue sea and the green pine tree. This song is believed to be why the place is called "Wakamatsu."[2]
