Plagues[change source]

I see you are bringing over many articles about plagues, like 1968 influenza pandemic (Hong Kong flu) and 1957-1958 influenza pandemic (Asian flu). They look like they are translated from another Wiki, maybe the Chinese Wikipedia, but I am not sure.

You may notice that I changed them a lot. This is because they had many facts for which I could not find sources. Sometimes they said the opposite of what the sources said. For example, the sources that I found said that the 1968 pandemic killed 1 million people, not 400 million people.

Right now, a lot of Americans want to blame Asians for the coronavirus pandemic. Many Asian Americans have been beaten up or harmed. Wikipedia is WP:NOTCENSORED but we must be extra careful to make sure every fact we post is provably true. If you have a source showing that the 1957 flu started in China, go ahead and put that back in the article so long as you cite the source too. The source does not have to be in English!
