Mella Mouse[change source]

Snuffle. Showwy. Shnuffle again. Shnuffle shnuffle sniff sniff. A bit of snuff will do. Rosy Posy is a sad rosy Posy, and so is Adios. :))) But, even if I write that to Ian, don't block me, alright? Write back to me this instant! Oh, and I'm so glad I can still edit on Simple wiki even if I retired. :))) 61.72.131.105 (talk) 06:21, 1 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Please do not make so much bad nonsense edits to Ian, Mella Mouse, or Rosy Posy, or whatever you would like to be called. I don't mean to be blunt or bitey, but you are acting slightly immature and this is not approved by the community. If you write again, you might have the chance of being blocked, or even banned. Thankyou. Belinda 06:23, 1 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Please ensure Mella Mouse does not edit again or else, I will block the account. Cheers, Pmlineditor  07:42, 1 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I will, no worries. Please excuse my little sister. Belinda 08:16, 1 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

April Fool's "stuff" is all good and fun, but it should not be done unless you understand what you are doing. It is clear to me, you do not. Your posts here and here show you are too excited about your "new signature" to care about the fact that A. those templates should never be substituted and B. your signature is broken. I highly suggest you back away from the April Fool's jokes. And I would definitely not bring them into places like Did You Know? again. Thank you, Either way (talk) 13:07, 1 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Surely that's being a little Harsh E.W. ? One day in the year doesn't do any harm. Yottie  20:30, 1 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I'm with EW on this one actually. There's having a laugh (see WP:ST and my talk, and everyone's signatures) and there's taking it too far, which is what Belinda has done in this instance. (imo) First and foremost we're an encyclopedia; Simple has a bad reputation at the best of times and taking things too far and treating the encyclopedia as a game isn't going to improve that. If you want to play and have fun, go somewhere else. Bluegoblin7  20:35, 1 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I agree with Yottie. She was just trying out a new signature (as everyone has done). Should she be treated so harshly just because it was broken or she asked, "Do you like my signature?" I don't think so. Notifying her of it is one thing, giving a harsh warning is another. American Eagle  21:14, 1 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
It's not just about signatures. See the Fucking DYK hook threads for a further example of getting carried away, and also see various other places via contributions today. Besides, were it a 'first offence' I might agree, but just look at threads above and below... Bluegoblin7  21:17, 1 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Either way, it's April Fool's. The day where everyone does whatever they want (with respect, obviously). --Diego Grez  21:19, 1 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Read my original comment here. You don't do whatever you want on a wiki with an already bad reputation. Does everyone do what they want on the English Wikipedia? No. Because you can't! Wikipedia is an encyclopedia and must remain neutral and accurate as much as possible - running round a wiki playing is not a good thing. I seem to remember we banned another user for treating the wiki as a joke. If you can't be mature and stick to the rules whilst having a bit of fun (like myself and other users by having Pmlineditor's signature) there is no place for you on the wiki. Bluegoblin7
When did she treat the wiki as a joke? Diffs please. Griffinofwales  21:59, 1 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, bluegoblin. There is a place where we can do whatever we want :-) --Diego Grez  22:15, 1 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
*gasps* Oh my, I never knew such a long discussion happened while I was gone. I was just trying to joke around a bit, not that I'm thinking wikipedia is a "joke" or anything. It was April Fool's Day, after all. Sorry, anyway! It's just a little joke, but of course, I won't do so again. Belinda 02:59, 2 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I don't think Belinda put up those templates on purpose. I think she did that as a mistake. TheCE|talkchanges 03:25, 2 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Belinda,

Just letting you know that I have deleted the above page that you created because 7 words does not make a sub - it is a sub-stub and completely useless, and it has therefore been deleted for having no content. In future, please either tag vandalised articles for deletion (how this started out) or add at least a paragraph to the article.

Thanks!

Bluegoblin7  19:14, 1 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I sincerely don't remember making the article Black Body. Sometimes my little sister sneaks up and log-ins as my name and edits on wikipedia, but I certainly didn't make one such as this. :o I'm sorry. I want to change my password, but can somebody so kindly inform me how to? Thanks, Belinda 03:02, 2 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
You didn't create it. You change your password in "My Settings" at the top of your screen. Griffinofwales (talk) 03:03, 2 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Ah, okay, thankyou very much, Griffinofwales! I really appreciate your quick replies and wonderful work around here. Belinda 03:04, 2 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Please don't do this. If your comment has nothing to do with the topic being discussed, it has no place in said topic, but rather in the topic to which you linked. If you will read the page that you are asking about, it will answer the question that you have. Thanks for understanding.  — laurynashby 09:25, 2 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Oops, sorry. I didn't know I wasn't supposed to! :) I hope you'll understand, but I read the page and it didn't say the answer. It just said that I would get one point if I did such and such, etc. Could you answer it for me please? I'm sorry for bothering you.... Sincerely and worriedly, Belinda 09:27, 2 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
"The cup will start on TBD, UTC and end on TBD, a period of TBD."" - the page I just gave you to read.  — laurynashby 09:28, 2 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Thankyou!--I saw that, but what does "TBD" and "UTC" mean? Belinda 09:29, 2 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
"To be determined" and "Coordinated Universal Time".  — laurynashby 09:30, 2 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
(change conflict) When in doubt, ask the English Wikipedia. Pmlineditor  09:31, 2 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Ah, thankyou so much. I get it now! Belinda 09:31, 2 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Additionally, waiting 35+ minutes for an answer is not unheard of. There is no rush. It would be answered eventually, just be patient. Either way (talk) 11:37, 2 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Mmm, thankyou for the advice, Either Way, though I was regretting being so anyway :). I surely will be more patient! Belinda 12:11, 2 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Please don't !vote until Megan accepts the nomination. Cheers. --Diego Grez  03:02, 3 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Oops, sorry, I didn't see that part. :P I saw that Kansan had voted, so I thought it was alright. Will revert my edit and vote again later. Belinda 03:05, 3 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I already did. :-) --Kyu Sakamoto (not really) let's talk 03:06, 3 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Belinda, Just a courtesy note to let you know that i've undone your reversion to the above article as it was a correct change by the IP address. No harm done though; keep up the good work. Goblin 09:52, 9 April 2010 (UTC) I ♥ Juliancolton![reply]

Oh! Sorry! Replied on your talk page. :) cheers, Belinda 10:03, 9 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Is Wikipedia for children or adults?[change source]

You initial definition is more suited to http://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gold_%28color%29 - in fact, you're copying over the definition from there. As a graphic designer, I came here to view this page and it offended my adult sensibilities. 74.233.157.23 (talk) 06:55, 10 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

My bad, I had not even realised I was at Simple WP. :-D 74.233.157.23 (talk) 07:03, 10 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hey. :) You always message me on IRC when I'm away! Hopefully we will have a chance to talk soon. :P --cremepuff222 (talk) 21:31, 12 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Ah. How did you know? ;) Too bad you are always away when I am on... Well anyway, I hope we can talk soon too. Happy Editing! Belinda 04:49, 13 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Stub Cup notice[change source]

Stub Cup
Hi and thanks for taking part in the Stub Cup! Here are a few things you need to know before we start:
  • The Cup starts on May 1st 00:00 UTC and ends on June 30th 23:59 UTC.
  • The stubs you expand must have been created before May 1st 00:00 UTC.

The scoring system works as follows:

  • If you get a stub to a Regular Article, you will get 1 point.
    • For an article of 1500 to 2199 bytes of text you get 1 point.
    • From 2200 bytes of text and for every additional 700 bytes of text you get 1 extra point.
    • If the portion you add is unreferenced, you only get half the points it is worth.
  • If you get a stub promoted to Good Article status, you will get 25 extra points.
  • If you get a stub promoted to Very Good Article status, you will get 50 extra points.

You have deleted the whole section of death on above, without having read the references?--Imsaa (talk) 12:17, 22 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Oh dear! If you want, I can bring it back. I'm sorry. I'll revert my edits until a clear consensus comes out. Cheers, Belinda 12:21, 22 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Eh, actually, sorry, no. Other people already fixed it all. I'm afraid we just have to go with their opinions, per enwiki. Belinda 12:23, 22 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Regarding the library page in simple english, the deleted text has nothing to do with libraries. please look at changes before reverting!

Thanks you and sorry, if I hurt you in any way.--Imsaa (talk) 17:22, 22 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for your help and comment but how can I agree with dispute over death of Shahi, when I myself have been to his tomb and provided many resources pertaining to over issue. You can look and decide yourself, what I am saying is true or not:
  1. A report by the UNHCR, shahi death is mentioned here but the date is different
  2. An article, which discussed conspiracies against Shahi
  • The Pakistani Press Foundation says Shahi was buried in 2001
  • The Sunday Telegraph claims Shahi died in 2003

Awaiting your swift response. I am searching more references on that, meanwhile, may I request you to add information from above mentioned sources or restore deleted section. All these sources confirms death of Shahi. Regards,--Imsaa (talk) 12:58, 24 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I don't want to sound bitey, but I don't know much about Shahi and neither do I care. However, thank you for your sources and hard work. The issue of Shahi's death has been argued over in enwiki too, as Esther said on the AN. If you want to discuss about the death of Shahi, please put it in the talk page. I dislike these kind of comments on my user talk. Don't feel discouraged though; I am impressed by your so hard work. I'm sorry I can not help you or agree with you. Actually, I'm not sure if Shahi is alive either. But I don't think he died. So to keep on the safe side, don't mention it in the article. :) It may sound like a dumb idea, but... Per enwiki! I don't think you actually get simple wikipedia. Maybe you can read the guide lines, for instance, as in I-on (talk · contribs)'s user page. His page has many helpful links on the top. Or, try looking over the welcome you recieved. Thanks! Belinda 07:05, 25 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Recent revert to Library[change source]

Your revert needed more care, the last revision of the page at this time by the IP undoing your rollback is correct. You need to actually read the content being removed rather than just skimming at the long yellow shaded text - which was clearly nonsense in your case. Please take more time to review content before reverting, reverting is not a race to get more edits. This isn't the first time you have been notified of inappropriate reverts either, which can lead to you losing your rollback if more incidents happen. Nifky^ 13:04, 22 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I am sorry, but this is your final warning about this. Next time, an admin will remove your rollback. This is, from what I remember, your fourth incorrect use of rollback. Pmlineditor  16:07, 22 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, sure. Indeed I'm not "racing", just trying to vandal fight. I'll be much more careful and only revert absolute obvious vandalism. Thank you, Pmlineditor, for your final warning, too. I'll try not to get too clumsy. :) -- Belinda 00:35, 23 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Just an FYI, British English uses the double "l" in jewellery. Either spelling is valid as long as it is consistent throughout the article. Lauryn Dirty little secrets 07:14, 25 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for reminding me. I didn't know, as I'm a Korean and I am extremely horrible at english. I'll remember that and keep it in mind. Cheers, Belinda 07:16, 25 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
No worries, you're fine. As the American English spelling of "color" is used in the article and there is no compelling reason to change from AE to BE (e.g. an article about a British subject), then the Americanism should be used. Lauryn Dirty little secrets 07:19, 25 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Rollback[change source]

Re your rollback to http://simple.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?diff=2155559&oldid=2155523 , this is your 5th incorrect use of rollback and I've have unfortunately removed your rollback rights. "Rollback must not be used to remove good-faith changes by other users. If the tool is used wrongly, it will be quickly removed by an administrator.", quoted directly from WP:ROLLBACK. Although it says you have can revert your own edits, this was clearly not acceptable, removing a warning to a talk page that was made by an administrator. Hopefully your trust in this tool can be reassured for other admins to grant you rollback again. Nifky^ 01:47, 26 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I hope so too. I was leaning over and my mouse was unconciously on the "rollback" button, and it accidently clicked before I knew it. Hopefully I can earn it again next time! I'll still be vandal-fighting with the undo tool, though. Thank you for noticing me. :) Regards, Belinda 01:49, 26 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Rollback[change source]

Nifky? (talk · contribs) has removed your rollback per [1]. I'm just letting you know. --Diego Grez let's talk 01:47, 26 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

:P Oh, now I'm in the same case as you! Ah well, at least next time maybe I can have it again. There's always another day, you know. Resume a good mood; after all, the undo button is just as good, and you can even provide a summary. Cheers, Belinda 01:53, 26 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Yup. Well, at least you still can use Twinkle or just the undo :-p --Diego Grez let's talk 01:56, 26 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Um, am I allowed to use rollback through twinkle? Isn't that bad if my rights are supposed to be removed? To keep on the safe side I won't use it. I don't like to sound like I'm abusing the community's policies or anything. But thanks anyway! Happy editing, Belinda 02:07, 26 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Not really. You are allowed to use Twinkle as your second option. I use it... PiRS does... everyone else does. Why don't you? --Diego Grez let's talk 02:17, 26 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
You are allowed to use Twinkle. Twinkle is for any autoconfirmed users. Even I use it. PiRSquared17 02:19, 26 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
