Pridnestrovie revert[change source]

I reverted your edit based on our discussion here about the name change. There was a past vote and discussion about the issue on the English Wikipedia here and we're following their policy decisions. Brantmeierz (talk) 17:37, 21 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

OK, thanks. Apparently, fighting the lobby of the Romanian Nazis in the administration of the English Wikipedia is useless. Then they are surprised that in some countries this site is blocked. Pridnestrovian editor (talk) 18:22, 21 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
It has nothing to do with Romanian Nazi's. We use the name that is commonly used in English Language sources. -DJSasso (talk) 18:26, 21 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Internet sources. And it is thanks only to Wikipedia, which is the main hotbed of the spread of this Nazi term on the Web. In English, there is no established designation for Pridnestrovie, the range of variations of the terms is very large: Pridnestrovie, Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic, PMR, Pridnestrovia, Transdniester, Trans-Dniestr, Transdniestria, Transnistria, Pridnestria, Dnestr Republic, Cisdniestria, Nistrenia, Nistria, Left Bank of Dniester, Transdniestrian Moldavian Republic, Moldavian Republic of Transdniestria, Republic of Pridnestrovie, etc. And this is understandable, because almost no one has ever heard of this country in the English-speaking environment; the choice of the term is determined solely by context. In this case, the context is offensive to Pridnestrovians and is directly related to the ideology of aggressive Romanian nationalism. Pridnestrovian editor (talk) 18:48, 21 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
