From Simple English Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Some happy golden sunflowers arrived to cheer your first day here!

Hello, dearie pie! Welcome to the Simple English Wikipedia! This website is a free encyclopedia that delivers free, useful, reliable knowledge to all the people around the world. However, working to keep the encyclopedia clean and its information as facts can be more hard work than some may think. We certainly do need more editors and workers here! Although wikipedia is not for being social like websites such as facebook or myspace (and you might get in trouble if you talk too much about your real life with your friends here), you can still make friends with other fellow editors that edit in this place. Everybody's first starts are almost always containing a few mistakes - including my first start as well - but dear heart, don't be shy. Nobody will get angry at you!

You might find these pages helpful for a start:

If you can't think up any ideas of what to do here, then read our Requested articles or the list of wanted articles. If you have any questions you can always ask them at Simple Talk, or ask me. I'm a friendly editor here just like you, too, and I'm more than glad to help out in anything you need.

After you say something in other people's talk pages, you can sign your name with four tildes (~~~~). This will make your username and the date come out. It also helps people to know who said the thing they are reading. Please do not sign your name after you change articles, though. There are many people changing articles, and they would be full of names and dates if they signed it every time they edited, and it would be very confusing!

I sincerely hope you'll enjoy yourself here. :) If you need help, you can contact an administrator or let me know. Once again, welcome, thanks for joining here, and God bless you warmly! Also, thank you for your kind contributions to Foot-and-mouth disease. However, it seems to be slightly different from Wikipedia's encyclopedic style of writing. Please see our Manual of Style for more information on how to write articles, or you can read some of our Very Good Articles and Good Articles for good examples. ingly, Bella tête-à-tête 05:51, 9 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
