Hi, I'm PotsdamLamb (talk). I've just noticed that your username may not meet our username policy.
This is not anything against you, and you are encouraged to choose a new account name that meets our guidelines - we hope to see you editing again soon!

Our username policy says how you should choose your username. Put simply, you should not have a username that people find offensive, advertises a real world group or company, or is confusing (for instance, if it impersonates another user).

If you have already made changes and wish to keep your changes under a new name, you may ask for us to rename your account. If you want to, please go here and ask for a new name. It will be changed by someone once they receive the request.

If you think that TinyTedDanson fits inside the guidelines, feel free to tell me why on this page, and I'm sure we can come to some conclusion.

However, please be aware that the username you currently have, TinyTedDanson may be blocked from changing pages without warning — if your name is listed here, you may want to tell people why you should not be blocked on that page.

Thanks again,

Not sure to the formatting of this or how to edit this, so I'll just type plain text and hope it is seen. I do not think my name breaks any violations, it is a reference to the comedy show "Tim and Eric: Awesome Show, Great Job!", and while it references a real person it is prefixed with a descriptor that clarifies a difference and being a pop-culture reference. My name isn't offensive, it doesn't advertise a group or company, and it's not confusing nor is it an attempt to imitate other users, so it doesn't break the rule you have cited. This is all glossing over the fact that an actor in his 70s is probably not making wiki edits under his real name, and probably does not know I exist let alone care that I am operating under a name that references a surreal sketch he appeared in.

Since there isn't a way to change my account name short of making a new account or running through a ticketing process, I hope you'll forgive me when I say this is a complete farce and I'm not interested in pursuing it. This name has caused zero issues over several years and numerous edits, and as far as I can see it doesn't even break the rule you're citing.

Thanks
