Val Kilmer (born December 31, 1959 in Los Angeles, California) is an American actor, best known for his roles in Tombstone, The Doors, Heat (film), and Batman Forever. He was married to Joanne Whalley from 1988 until they divorced in 1996.

In January 2015, Kilmer was hospitalized for massive bleeding in his throat.[1] It was said by one source that Kilmer has a throat tumor and is refusing to have treatment due to his religion. The same report says Kilmer denies that he has a tumor; calling it "silly talk".[1]
