Yashwant Sinha

Yashwant Sinha (born 6 November 1937) is an Indian politician. He was the Minister of Finance from 1990 until 1991 and again from 1998 until 2002. He was also the Minister of External Affairs from 2002 until 2004.[1] He was a senior leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party before he quit the party in April 2018.[2] From 1988 until 1994 and from 1998 until 2009, Sinha was a member of Parliament.

Sinha is the Trinamool Congress nominee for President of India in the 2022 election, but he lost the election against Draupadi Murmu.[3]

Sinha was born in Patna, India. He studied at the University of Patna.
