Call of Duty (short form: CoD) is a first person and third-person shooter video game series. There are 12 games in total, not counting add-ons and DLCs. All the games except for Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, Call of Duty: Black Ops and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 are about World War II. Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 take place in present times. These two games were created by Infinity Ward and published by Activision. Call Of Duty: Black Ops takes place in the secret missions of the Cold War. It was created by Treyarch and published by Activision. The majority of the games were published by Infinity Ward, and some were developed by Treyarch. There are Call of Duty games for the Gamecube, Xbox, PlayStation, PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita, Xbox 360, PC, Nintendo Wii, and the Nintendo DS. It is rated Teen or Mature for blood, violence and strong language.
