Filippo Taglioni (5 November 1777 – 11 February 1871) was a Italian choreographer of the 19th century. His greatest work was the ballet, La Sylphide. Most of his work has been lost. He taught his daughter, Marie Taglioni to dance. She became one of the greatest ballerinas in history.
