Iwaki Province (1868)

Iwaki Province (磐城国 Iwaki-no kuni) was an old province of Japan in the area that is today Fukushima Prefecture on the island of Honshū.[1] It was sometimes called Ōshū (奥州).[2] The history of the province started in 1868 and ended in 1869.

During the Edo period and early Meiji period, the Date clan were daimyo in the area.[3]
