Troy University is a public university in Troy, Alabama. The university has about 29,689 students. It was founded in 1887. The current chancellor of the university is Jack Hawkins, Jr. .

The athletics teams of the university are called the Trojans. They have 18 varsity teams and they compete in the Sun Belt Conference.
