Welcome[change source]

Welcome to the Simple English Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia! Thank you for your changes, especially what you did for The Simpsons. I hope you like changing pages here. Here are some pages that can help you make better changes:

You do not need to log in to read or change articles on the Simple English Wikipedia. However, making an account is quick, easy and free. It also gives you many benefits such as:

  • A username of your choice
  • Your own user page and/or subpage(s)/sandbox(es)
  • Other users can send you e-mails without knowing your address
  • The ability to move (rename) pages
  • The ability to vote in discussions
  • Keep a watchlist to see changes made to pages you are interested in.

You can click here to make an account.

I hope you enjoy your time here. Please sign your comments on talk pages by using four tildes (~~~~). This will make your IP address and the date show up on the page. If you decide to log in, your username and the date will show up instead. Again, welcome, and I hope you decide to stay! Mr Wiki Pro (talk) 00:24, 24 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop adding unsimplified text from English Wikipedia[change source]

I have undone your changes to some articles because you added text from English Wikipedia without simplifying it. When you copy text from English Wikipedia, you must make it simple for this Wikipedia. You can read about that at Wikipedia:How to write Simple English pages. Please do not add any more text without simplifying it. Let me know if you have any questions about this. Thanks. --Auntof6 (talk) 23:28, 11 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Please read the above text. It's important to realize that you can't just copy and paste from the English Wikipedia.--Jasper Deng (talk) 05:49, 18 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

United States senator category[change source]

Please don't add Category:United States senators to an article that already has a more specific category. For example, you added that category to Jay Rockefeller, even though that article already had Category:United States senators from West Virginia. I have undone many of your changes where you added the less-specific category.

This logic applies to many of our categories. If you're interested, you can read more about it at Wikipedia:Categories#Choosing the correct category. Feel free to ask if you have any questions. --Auntof6 (talk) 18:46, 29 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

May 2014[change source]

Thank you for experimenting with the page New York City on Wikipedia. Your test worked, but because it had things in it which did not help improve the page, it was reverted or removed. Please use the sandbox if you would like to do more tests. You may also want to read the welcome page to learn about helping the Simple English Wikipedia. Thank you. If this is a shared IP address, and you didn't make the change, consider creating an account for yourself so you can avoid further irrelevant notices.
