Constant attacks on my talk pages, on the Italian, Spanish, French, English, Simple and Commons talk pages... He was already blocked (via 93.143.73.189) due to an incident of personal attacks towards another editor. He also edited with 93.143.83.30, 93.143.81.30, 93.142.139.21, 93.142.155.169, 93.143.70.241. A range block is definitely necessary.

the word residence removed

Are there reasons for which residence was removed from several celebrity or other related articles? Is the word not simple enough on Simple English Wikipedia? Angela Kate Maureen (talk) 22:19, 20 February 2022 (UTC)

Automated editing

I'm not sure if semi-automated editing is explicitly disallowed according to WP:BOT, so if that's a de facto rules here, shouldn't it be updated? NguoiDungKhongDinhDanh 03:55, 23 February 2022 (UTC)

Huggle is fine as it isn't many rapid edits at once. All rapid script assisted editing is considered to be in the realm of bots, its why you need permission to use AWB for example. There are many reasons this wiki (and most others) require approval for (semi-)automated editing. In the case of simple one of the big ones is we do not want the recent changes to be flooded with edits making it hard to watch for vandalism. But the bigger issue is that with a smaller editor base script assisted editing can quickly get out of hand before the community can react and quickly gets to a point where any problems created get to the point where its very hard for our low editor count to fix. Its why we don't allow people to permanently keep AWB once granted and why its removed after very specific tasks are finished and why we don't allow it to be used for any other than what was in the request. Examples of issues we have had in the past are things like one editor created 10s of thousands of single sentence stubs. In other cases people spam maintenance tags by the thousands. This wiki has had a lot of problems with the misuse of semi-automated editing so we are pretty strict on it. -Djsasso (talk) 04:06, 23 February 2022 (UTC)

It wasn't necessary to revert the message that was left on my talk page, even if it was left by an indefinitely blocked user. There was no vandalism or anything like that in the message left, so it's best to just leave it alone. Thanks. --Auntof6 (talk) 00:49, 8 March 2022 (UTC)

Just so you're aware, if you've requested a page for deletion, there's no need to tag the talkpage for deletion. When admins delete the main page, it says something like "This page has a talk page that you may want to delete as well". Thanks. --Ferien (talk) 06:48, 17 March 2022 (UTC)
