Aberdeen is a city in the northeastern part of the U.S. state of South Dakota. It is the third largest city in the state; 26,091 people lived there at the 2010 census.[1] The city is home to Northern State University, a major college in the state of South Dakota. Aberdeen became a city in 1882.[2]
