Allen Daviau

Allen Daviau, A.S.C. (June 14, 1942 – April 15, 2020) was an American cinematographer. He was known for his works with Steven Spielberg. He worked on E.T. the Extra Terrestrial (1982), The Color Purple (1985), and Empire of the Sun (1987). He was nominated for five Academy Awards. Daviau was born in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Daviau died on April 15, 2020 from COVID-19 in Los Angeles, aged 77.[1]
