Bihor (IPA: [bi.'hor]), in Hungarian: Bihar (IPA: [bi.'har]), is a county (judeţ) of Romania, in Crişana. The capital of Bihor County is Oradea.

Bihor (Bihar) in Hungarian, does indeed have a connection with Vihar , but not slavic Vihor ( storm)[1]

Bihar in India derives from Sanskrit"Vihar"( abode, a home) also a roaming place where two rivers meet
