Robert "Bob" Martinez (born December 25, 1934) is an American politician. He was the 40th Governor of Florida serving from 1987 to 1991.[1] He was the first person of Spanish ancestry to be elected to the state's top office. Before that, he was the mayor of Tampa from 1979 to 1986.
Martinez also served as the second Director of the Office of National Drug Control Policy from 1991 to 1993.
