Damiano David is an Italian singer and songwriter best known as the vocalist of the Italian rock band Måneskin, which won the Sanremo Music Festival 2021 and the Eurovision Song Contest 2021 (as the Italian representative in the latter) with the song "Zitti e buoni".[1][2] He is noted for his "natural charisma of the great frontmen",[3] and as an Italian fashion icon.[4]

Biography[change | change source]

By this time, he had formed Måneskin with three friends, bassist Victoria De Angelis, guitarist Thomas Raggi and drummer Ethan Torchio whom only joined the band later throughout an ad the other three had put on facebook. Together, they started playing live on the Roman streets of Via del Corso as well as in bars and pubs to collect money in order to record their first song Chosen in a proper studio. With this song they later participated in the 2017 X-factor edition which they did not win but helped them gain popularity almost instantly amongst teenagers. After winning Sanremo and the Eurovision contest in 2021 they became known worldwide as a rock band. Damiano is known for his incredible talent and confidence as a frontman as well as his unique voice.

Personal Life[change | change source]

Against numerous rumors about Damiano's personal life in 2021, he announced that he has been dating Giorgia Soleri for almost four years.[5][6]
