Gerald Norman "Jerry" Springer (February 13, 1944) is an English-born American talk show host, movie, television, radio, and stage actor. He is host for The Jerry Springer Show. He served as Mayor of Cincinnati from 1977 to 1978 as a Democrat.[1]

Springer was born in February 13, 1944 in Highgate, London to Jewish parents from Germany.[2] He was raised in London until he and his parents moved to New York City and in Chicago, Illinois. He was the Mayor of Cincinnati from 1977 through 1978. He has been married to Vicki Melton since 1973. He now lives in Cincinnati, Ohio and in Chicago, Illinois.
