Kadaknath, also called Kali Masi (transl."fowl having black flesh"), is an Indian breed of chicken. Kadaknath birds are grey-black all over. They have gold plumage with greenish iridescence. The greyish black colour is in the legs and toenails, beak, tongue, comb and wattles. Even the meat, bones and organs are grey. This bird is considered the National poultry of India.
