Liberty University is a private, christian university in Lynchburg, Virginia. The university has about 69,214 students. It was founded in 1971 by Jerry Falwell.[1] The current chancellor of the university is Jerry Prevo.

The athletics teams of the university are called the Flames. They have 18 varsity teams and they compete in the Big South Conference.
