Penny's Big Breakaway is a 2024 platformer developed by Evening Star and published by Private Division. It was released on February 21, 2024 for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Windows, and Xbox Series X/S. The game was announced in a Nintendo Direct presentation which aired on June 21, 2023. The game follow Penny and Emperor Eddie and his clones of penguins causing a stir.[2][3]

The player controls Penny, becoming a Street performer who is pairing up with a yo-yo that has ben given by a cosmic string.

The game is set on a planet called Macaroon in Vaillatown, Penny noticed a flyer audition for performers to partner up with Emperor Eddie.

'Penny's Big Breakaway was developed by Evening Star, a company founded in 2018 the creators of ''Sonic Mania'' and led by Christian Whitehead.[4][5]
