Porsgrunn is a city and a municipality in Vestfold and Telemark County in South-Eastern Norway. The city is divided into two parts by the river Skienselva. There is also a big industrial island called Herøya[1] which is the back bone for the city.

History[change | change source]

The tradition of industry goes back far, and the most known factory from Porgrunn is "Porsgrund porselænsfabrik" established in 1885.[2] These days the factory has been turned into a small shopping center with a gym and thousands of squarefeet of office spaces.
