Comments for simplifying[change source]
Complex words: disbarred, obscenity, inappropriate, conduct, tribunals
At least two of those (tribunal and obscenity) can be linked. The others should be changed or explained. --Auntof6 (talk) 06:17, 12 January 2015 (UTC)
- I've simplified this article, linked and changed words. Something else? Furthermore, why is disbarred considered complex? Angela Maureen (talk) 06:38, 12 January 2015 (UTC)
- "Disbarred" is considered complex because it isn't one of the Basic English words. That word list is the basis of everything we do here, so you should be familiar with it. Also, "disbarred" doesn't mean "expelled". By the way, please indent your replies on talk pages. Thanks! --Auntof6 (talk) 06:54, 12 January 2015 (UTC)
- Is there a simple word which can replace disbarred? If so, what is that word. Angela Maureen (talk) 07:04, 12 January 2015 (UTC)
- I don't think there is one word. You'd have to use multiple words, or put an explanation in parentheses after the word. --Auntof6 (talk) 07:08, 12 January 2015 (UTC)
- I've put explanation for the word "disbarred" Angela Maureen (talk) 16:20, 12 January 2015 (UTC)
