I would like to suggest that this page be merged into Korea. I do not think that this page is notable enough to deserve its own page. I would therefore like to suggest that it be merged into Korea. Cheers, Razorflame 15:05, 28 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Well, I think it should stay. Korean cuisine is very important: on the English Wikipedia it has its own article. Of course, this article in Simple Wiki should certainly be thoroughly edited, added, and refined, but the subject of Korean cuisine in itself merits a page different from just Korea. —Clementina talk 03:12, 17 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I tend to agree with you, Esther, though I believe the discussion is moot as it was proposed almost two years ago. :) Katerenka Talk 03:14, 17 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you, Lauryn. Does that mean I can take off the template? By the bye, most of this seems to be about how to make bulgogi. Shouldn't there be an article about bulgogi and put most of this article's info there? In the meantime, I'll try to see if there's anything I can write about Korean cuisine in general. —Clementina talk 07:21, 20 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • If you want to talk solely about Korean cuisine on a page (long enough that it doesn't need to be merged into the Korea article) or be put into the Korea article if it's minor, they shouldn't have directions on how to make food. Wikipedia is suited to have information on food providing some information on its ingredients, history of the dish, and only minor information on how it's made, not a procedure of what the preparation of the food is like. See en:Coq au Vin for more information. Recipes on the procedure of making a certain food should go on Wikibooks' Cookbook section there. Nifky^ 07:27, 20 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

<-You're right, I'll try doing a cleanup of the article soon. —Clementina talk 03:17, 31 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Remarks[change source]

  1. So shocked to hear you eat live octopus! You could not do that in the UK.
  2. You might leave out the next-to-last sentence about 'Jalmukgessemnidah', because it is meaningless to non-Koreans.
  3. Otherwise an interesting and well-made page, though a bit short. If you want to take it further, you might comment on the influence of China and Japan on Korean cuisine, and whether European cuisines have had any effect.
