Good Article[change source]

It has good information and so that's why I think this article should be a good article. TDKR Chicago (talk) 6:34, 27 September 2012 (UTC).

Eptalon's VGA review[change source]

General[change source]

  • Red-links need fixing
  • Find sources for the {{fact}} templates

Life section[change source]

  • Can we get something like a "path"; at the moment, some of it reads like an accumulation of unrelated facts.
  • I am unsure whether his parent's should get a link; I have definitely heard his mother's name...
  • Sentences like "When he was young, V.H. fell in love." are very nice, but do not contain much info; reformulate (with the next sentence)...
  • Small numbers that are part of text, should be written as words; esp. true for numbers below about 20-25...

Writings[change source]

  • Simplicity: is thereafter a simple word? - I don't know
  • The sentence: Le dernier jour du condamné...social injustice, Les Misérables is too long; ideally, there is one idea per sentence; break it up into many sentences
  • The effect of the novel Notre-Dame de Paris probably needs a source; the same applies to the critics of Fantine...

Will comment on the rest of the article, if needed; however this still looks like a lot of work...--Eptalon (talk) 23:48, 29 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

overlong, and too much copied[change source]

The article is long and too much copied from En wiki. The length of the on-line refs and further reading is just ridiculous. By listing everything, a reader does not know where to look. It is typical of the unhelpful academic approach caused by copying the worst habits of En wiki. Macdonald-ross (talk) 13:27, 23 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
