Taymyria, officially the Republic of Taymyria or the Taymyr Republic, is a country in northern Siberia. It is a large country with an area of 879,952 km2 (339,751 sq mi). It has a population of 256,071. Most of the people in the country live in the city of Norilsk (pop. 202,597), but the capital of Taymyria is the city of Dudinka (pop. 30,228). Taymyria has three major ethnic groups: the Nenets, the Dolgans, and the Russians.
