School IP address Welcome to Wikipedia, school user! Please note the following:

This IP address, 96.5.241.8, is registered to EDUCATION NETWORKS OF AMERICA, and may be shared by many different people. If this school uses proxy servers, many people at different computers, or even at different schools in an area, can connect to the Internet through this same IP address. Because of this, a message meant for one person may be read by another, often someone who has not done anything wrong, and a block of this IP address will mean that everyone using this address will not be able to change Wikipedia.

If you are making changes from this address and are getting messages that are not for you, you can avoid this by creating your own account. If you cannot do this, it most likely means that doing so has been stopped so that other users cannot make any bad changes. You will then have to make an account at home and log in with it here.

Please think before blocking this IP. If a block is needed, admins should consider a soft block.

Note: If this address is used for vandalism over and over again, making changes without an account may be disabled for up to 1 year at a time, and abuse reports may be sent to the people who run the school in cases of long-term disruption by people with accounts.
School staff, to monitor this IP address for disruptive changes, can subscribe to a web feed of this page in either RSS or Atom format.

Request reason:

I was blocked by User:Chenzw for "Abusing several accounts". This administrator is currently engaged in a content dispute with me.Because the blocking policy states that "administrators must not block users with whom they are engaged in a content dispute", I request to be unblocked

Decline reason:

Clear case, no need for special policy bureaucracy here. No reason to unblock. -- Barras talk 15:19, 3 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for experimenting with the page Template:Unblock reviewed on Wikipedia. Your test worked, but because it had things in it which did not help improve the page, it was reverted or removed. Please use the sandbox if you would like to do more tests. You may also want to read the welcome page to learn about helping the Simple English Wikipedia. Thank you. If this is a shared IP address, and you didn't make the change, consider creating an account for yourself so you can avoid further irrelevant notices.

Request reason:

Okay this block (long-term abuse)isn't fair to me because i did't abuse over people who were trying to work so i wasn't disruptive.I just wanted someone to replace the blocked text so people to see clearer.

Decline reason:

We don't want to replace the blocked text. -- Chenzw  Talk  14:14, 5 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The problem is that you are a sock-puppeteer that has been avoiding a block. That is what is meant by long-term abuse. Unfortunately you aren't going to be unblocked. Continual requesting will just have the talk page blocked as well. -DJSasso (talk) 15:03, 5 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Your block has already been reviewed, and it has been decided it won't be removed. I see no reason to overturn the block. I have also removed talk page editing access for the duration of the block.-- Gordonrox24 | Talk 06:19, 16 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

You have been temporarily blocked from changing in line with Wikipedia's blocking policy for constantly making bad changes. Please stop. You are welcome to make useful changes after the block ends. If you believe this block is unfair you may ask to be unblocked by adding the text {{unblock|your reason here}} below. If you cannot do this or the reason is private please send an e-mail to simple-admins-l@lists.wikimedia.org and an administrator will look at your reason and reply. You may want to read our guide to unblock requests before asking to be unblocked.

Request reason:

I was blocked for violating the three revert rule. I sorry for this and promise not to do it again. The blocking policy states that blocks are not a punishment, but a means to stop future problems. If unblocked, I'm not going to continue reverting, but instead will attempt to find a compromise on the talk page, and if that doesn't work, I'll try dispute resolution. Because I've promised not to cause any more problems, my block no longer serves a purpose allowed by the blocking policy. Therefore, I request to be unblocked.

Decline reason:

Your earlier promises have failed to convince us otherwise, and thus I see no reason to unblock. -- Chenzw  Talk  14:58, 17 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

I was blocked for "vandalism". However, the policy defining vandalism specifically intended to improve Wikipedia, as I did in this instance. Because the action for which I was blocked was therefore not disruption as described in the blocking policy, I request to be unblocked. 96.5.241.8 (talk) 12:58, 19 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
