Lyz Cooper - help please

First of all congratulations on your new born!

I need some help please. I was trying to share my work on wikipedia and my page has been deleted. I was adding references to substantiate my research and was unable to press update because the page was already deleted. I obviously need some advice and guidance because I am following the same format as other people that are my peers but they have not had pages deleted. I am not intentionally advertising things and when I saw the page was going to be deleted I started deleting links to my books, thinking this was what you were referring to although other people have links to their books.

Any advice you can give me would be gratefully received. I am trying to share what I do for people that may be interested in finding out more about my achievements. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Bertiebat (talk • contribs)

On Wikipedia, you are strongly discouraged from writing about yourself, your employers, or other subjects you are closely attached to as you have a conflict of interest and cannot write objectively. In order to have a Wikipedia article, you must demonstrate notability by providing examples of significant and in-depth coverage from reliable sources. This is not to make it difficult to include yourself, but to ensure the encyclopedia only contains subjects that are notable to history. I spent 1 month learning to wiki ethics, and thus collected the data and published the wiki page of mine, i.e Rahul Kumar Pandey

@Raaahulpandey: A few things are wrong here. First, you are either operating an unauthorized bot (User:IndianBotWiki) on this project or you are abusing several accounts. These items alone will result in your editing privileges being blocked. Second, the article you wrote solely existed to promote the individual's business and status. This is considered spam. I'm also concerned you said you have spent 1 month learning 'wiki ethics' but this account is over 3 years old. Can you explain your connection or association with the person you wrote about? Hi, Yes! I made this account long ago, but started learning Wikipedia through YouTube from last 2-3 months! And then made “IndianBotWiki” account just to try out the Wikipedia and look professional. :( And I was not able to put discussion from that account as you blocked the user. And my connection to the person i wrote about is my ‘boss’. And i took money from him to write the things, and did my best to not look it as any kind of advertising sir! @Raaahulpandey: By your own admission then, you are a paid editor and have a conflict of interest about the person you're writing about. This means you should not write about that person at all. Since your other account is already blocked, I won't block this one. I will not be restoring the page and, should you recreate the page, I will delete it again. I’ll not recreate sir, but this was not at all spam, I followed every single Wikipedia rules! Is there anyway to get it back? Is this possible to undo deletion by appealing? About the Snoopy Page

I'm a person who loves the Peanuts strip, so I decided to look at the page about Snoopy, and I found that it didn't really convey much useful information. Sure, it conveyed some info, but a lot of the stuff was incorrect, like the names of his alter egos. (for instance, there is no alter ego of Snoopy named "the world famous literary ace")
I decided I would fix some of the bad things in the page. Immediately after publishing the edits, they were reverted by ChenzwBot (or something like that). It thought it was vandalism.
I would not vandalize a page about one of my favorite comic strip characters, and it seemed pretty clear that the edit wasn't vandalism, yet the bot thought it was. So I reverted the bot's reversion.
I then came back later today to find that it had been reverted yet again, by you, with the reason "better before". Exactly what about it was better before? Also, do you know by any chance why the bot thought my edit was vandalism?

@Blue screen of life: I'll be happy to leave your changes intact as my revert was performed as an editor, not as an administrator. Your edit also introduced some style problems to the article. For example, we use Related pages instead of External Links. I'll leave that with you to correct. I'd also take a look at How to write Simple English pages and our word list. I only have one Wikimedia account. When I said "I'm often pretty good at everything except the "simple" part", I was talking about wikis in general, like Wikipedia. I guess this would be a better way to rephrase it: "I edit a lot of wikis, and when editing, it's often easy for me to do most things except make stuff simple". The anxiety and nerves associated with an RfA/OS/CU/etc are always nearly unbearable. That's why you should chat with a crat before deciding to withdraw. Yes, you had some issues on the RfA, but it was far from over. You had several more days to go and things could have changed rather dramatically. I consider you to be 'teachable' which means you can learn. And that's the best quality a sysop can have. Sysops are people. People make mistakes. But you have to be willing to admit the mistake, learn, and move on. I haven't decided if I would have supported your RfA or not... but I can tell you I liked that you RfA'd and wish you hadn't withdrawn. Operator873^talkconnect 02:27, 21 August 2020 (UTC)
