Categorizing articles[change source]

Hello, Philip. I assume you are a Futurama fan -- so am I!

I wanted to ask you to please more fully categorize new articles that you create. I noticed that in some of the articles you created about people, the only categories are their year of birth and the "living people" category. There should usually be a few more. I did a write-up on this at User:Auntof6/What_to_put_in_a_biographical_article#Categories.

Along with the categories, articles about people usually need a {{DEFAULTSORT}} specified with the appropriate value. That makes the article appear in the right order in categories. The page I linked to above also has a section on that.

Feel free to let me know if you have any questions about this. Adding the right categories would be very helpful -- thanks! --Auntof6 (talk) 04:40, 23 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

March 2015[change source]

Hello, Bradford! Here at Simple English Wikipedia we use the section heading "Other websites" instead of English Wikipedia's "External links", which you used in "Señorita Pólvora". This makes it simpler and easier to read. Please remember to use "Other websites" in articles that you create in the future. Thank you for your help! Auntof6 (talk) 02:53, 20 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hello! Thank you for creating Category:2014 telenovelas. However, we normally need at least three pages in a category before it is created. Because categories are a way to group together similar articles, there is no need to create a new category for just one or two articles. Because of this, the category has been deleted. You can recreate it when there are at least three entries to go into it. Thank you. Auntof6 (talk) 03:11, 20 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

We like and strongly encourage helpful changes to Wikipedia, but "Muchacha italiana viene a casarse" was directly copied and pasted from the main English Wikipedia. Please do not do that. Such articles are usually too complex. They need to be simplified before or immediately after being added to the Simple English Wikipedia. In addition, be sure to include attribution on the article's talk page. Thank you. In addition this particular article had several failed references. You cannot assume the citations are good without checking. Please see Wikipedia:How to copy from another Wikipedia. Thanks User:Rus793 (talk) 13:17, 23 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I cleaned up a couple more of these Mexican telenovelas you've copied from enwiki. To let you know what to look for, the first citation is generally good. After that the remaining citations may only mention the name of the subject and usually fail to verify the statements. They're all web citations so are easy to verify. Don't forget to attribute the copied & pasted articles. Also try to simplify these articles more if you can. Please see Wikipedia:How to write Simple English pages. The page you wrote, Mi corazón es tuyo, has been selected for quick deletion. If you think this page should be kept, please add {{wait}} below the line {{QD}} and say why on the talk page. If the page is already gone, but you think this was an error, you can ask for it to be undeleted. You can find more information about the reason here. RfD nomination of De que te quiero, te quiero[change source]

An editor has requested deletion of De que te quiero, te quiero, an article you created. We appreciate your changes, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article meets Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not").

Please comment on the discussion by adding your comments at the discussion page and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also change the article during the discussion to address the nominator's concerns. But you should not remove the requests for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you very much. Auntof6 (talk) 04:13, 7 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Telenovela articles[change source]

Hi, Philip. Thanks for your work on some of the telenovela articles that are currently up for deletion via this request. I see that you added some references. That is good, but keep in mind that references can support a statement about notability, but just having references doesn't show notability. The articles need to say something about why the programs are notable. Let me know if you'd like clarification on this. Thanks. --Auntof6 (talk) 03:19, 10 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
