Ichi the Killer[change source]

I saw that you removed the "orphan" tag from this page. Please do not remove tags unless you fix the issue. This article is still an orphan, so the tag should stay there. I have put it back. Let me know if you have any questions about this. Thanks. --Auntof6 (talk) 22:19, 3 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi! Thank you looks like I have made a mistake.Taddah (talk) 16:22, 4 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Concerned about your editing[change source]

Hi there. I am seeing a lot of page changes in the log and it shows all you are doing is retyping the information is already there (i.e. (1976-2013) and you just type the same thing and save it to the article). Please do not do this. You should only be making changes. There are a few reasons why someone would do this, however, I am going to assume good faith and just ask you to not to do that as it has no impact on the article, nor does it provide any information. Thanks - Da LambTalk to me!Please don't eat da 🐑! 04:36, 16 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

user:PotsdamLamb Hey there and thank you for your message and concern. At first, I must say that if you don't make any changes to an article, Wikipedia won't save it as an edit. Also, you should note that none of my changes were for no reason. In the example you mentioned, I replaced hyphen with an en dash which is used to to show a range between numbers. I just intend to improve Wikipedia articles like yourself. Best regards. Taddah (talk) 04:59, 16 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
The dates go in and you have to make an edit to save or else you save nothing which will show a 0 edit. A lot of yours showed +2 and the only difference I could see was just putting the same thing on it. Using the em dash should only show a +1 but like I said I’m assuming good faith and can take it at face value. I was concerned because they started flooding in for all the ones you made. This can also be something someone can do via autowikibrowser by someone who has that right. Thanks - Da LambTalk to me!Please don't eat da 🐑! 05:32, 16 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
user:PotsdamLamb I said en dash, and not em dash. replacing a hyphen with an en dash, shows +2. I just randomly check pages and edit them if they need a change. Is there anything wrong with using an en dash instead of a hyphen? If yes, tell me why and I will stop it. Thanks a lot. Taddah (talk) 06:01, 16 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Nothing wrong with it. IMO it doesn’t have an impact on articles say if you were to go and correct citation issues or edit the complex English to simple. Otherwise it’s just a cosmetic change. No problem with it, was just curious as I stated you did quite a few in a short amount of time which made it hard for me to look at other edits as yours kept pushing my list down. But again, no worries. We do have a lot of categories that show pages that have other issues. If you interested in that I can show you and help you figure them out and what needs to be done to correct them. Thanks - Da LambTalk to me!Please don't eat da 🐑! 07:16, 16 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
