Marquette University is a private, coeducational, Roman Catholic university in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The university has about 11,599 students. It was founded in 1898. The current president of the university is Rev. Robert A. Wild, S.J. .

The athletics teams of the university are called the Golden Eagles. They have 10 varsity teams and they compete in the Big East Conference.
