University of North Texas

The University of North Texas is a public university in Denton, Texas. The university has about 36,206 students. It was founded in 1890. The current president of the university is V. Lane Rawlins.

The athletics teams of the university are called the Mean Green. They have 18 varsity teams and they compete in the Sun Belt Conference. In July 2013, the Mean Green will leave the Sun Belt and join Conference USA.
