Template:Literatur

Hey Barras. There's a deletion request you might want to take a look at for Template:Literatur. You're using it on User:Barras/books. I don't think it's a big deal, but if you wanted to just use the local version anyway I translated it in this revision (which I subsequently reverted in case you didn't want to). There are a couple of minor differences in the arrangement, and it uses (# ed.) to show the edition instead of # Auflage. Anyway, see what you think. You and Eptalon might find the Literatur template useful to use when translating pages from dewiki. Osiris (talk) 05:49, 4 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Yup, that is why I imported it. When creating articles with references based on dewiki, it is by far easier to get the references. But I'm not that much active anyway and when it is only used on my subpage it can surely be deleted. (Well, someone should fix my page then. ;-) ) -Barras talk 09:10, 4 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, sorry for writing in English. I'm writing to ask you, as a bureaucrat of this wiki, to translate and review the notification that will be sent to all users, also on this wiki, who will be forced to change their user name on May 27 and will probably need your help with renames. You may also want to help with the pages m:Rename practices and m:Global rename policy. Thank you, Nemo 17:08, 3 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hoping for a Good Article

I've been working hard to make Jonathan Winters a good article. It has no red links, it' simple (any suggestions to change), and has enough refs (one good article had 9 refs, this one has 17). Feel free to write suggestions to fix or opinions. Thank you for your contribution to the Wikipedia. --User:TDKR Chicago 101 (talk), 25 May 2013, 17:36 (UTC).

Just looking at the first two sections, I can see it needs a little grammar work and more simplifying. You need to look at sentence length and structure, not just word choice. For example, in the "Career" section, the second sentence in the first paragraph could be split into three sentences. In general, look for sentences that have multiple clauses to see if they can be split.
As for references, it's not necessarily the number of them. It's also whether there are references for significant things that need references, and that the references are reliable sources (for example, no wikis, not the public-editable sections of IMDB, etc.). That's what I see when I quickly look at the first few sections. --Auntof6 (talk) 00:18, 26 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

You missed this. There's RfA going on and you didn't updated this.--Pratyya (Hello!) 04:53, 30 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Barras is the last person to edit the page, but he doesn't update it... It was updated by Chris G Bot up until it stopped at the start of the year. Osiris (talk) 04:58, 30 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
(talk page stalker) I tried to fix the template, however I don't think I can; it doesn't seem to work properly and the bot doesn't update it. curtaintoad | chat me! 05:08, 30 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
As if I was the one responsible to update the template... The bot is dead, if you want the page to be updted again, then contact the bot owner, not me. -Barras talk 13:58, 30 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Geeze man get with it and update it. ;) -DJSasso (talk) 14:05, 30 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Get your bot doing it. It's hereby officially Speedily Approved. for this new task. -Barras talk 14:09, 30 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I'll sort a bot out for this if people think it's worthwhile? Goblin 14:57, 30 May 2013 (UTC) I ♥ Mh7kJ![reply]
Thanks Gobby, but not needed. I got Chris to fix his bot. -Barras talk 14:59, 30 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Nelson Mandela GA

Hey Barras. I've put a lot of hard work and dedication into making Nelson Mandela into a good article. Can you please read the article and then write your suggestions in the article's talk page. Thanks. --TDKR Chicago 101 (talk) 00:20, 14 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Finished fixing your suggestions. --TDKR Chicago 101 (talk) 05:41, 16 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi! The article above is currently at VGA. It requires at least 6 votes to move forward. I'm not asking you to vote "yes", but simply to vote. This article recently passed to GA, and I'm hoping it will pass to VGA. My "head" is still in the subject which, if the article need improvements to get it to VGA, will make it much easier to focus on these improvements. The requirements for VGA tell us that: "Within one week of being listed under the voting section, 80% of named editors must agree that the article is indeed very good. There is a required minimum of 6 named voters." The article has been on the page for three days, it has one "yes" vote, and time is running out. Would you, could you, vote? Please? Thank you, Barras!
