Artemis 2 is a NASA mission. It is the second mission in NASA's Artemis program. It will be the first mission with people on the Orion spacecraft. As of 2024's second quarter, NASA plans to launch it in September 2025.

Earlier, NASA had plans to launch it in November 2024.[1] The Orion spacecraft will do a flyby of the Moon, and then come back to Earth.[2][3] Artemis 2 will be the first NASA mission to go to the Moon since Apollo 17 in 1972.
