Mohammad Reza Pahlavi (Persian: محمد رضا پهلوی, October 16, 1919 – July 27, 1980) was the last Shah of Iran. He was the Shah of Iran from the 1941 abdication of his father, until the Iranian Revolution in 1979. After the 1979 revolution, the government of Iran changed into an Islamic republic.
