I exist!

The topic says it all, I still exist! Good to be back :) --Yottie =talk= 20:03, 11 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Yot!!! Good to have you back. I'm pretty sure I saw you editing the other day, but I didn't realise you'd ever gone AWOL because I had too until recently, for a lot of the same time. Have you been doing good? Thanks for organising a weekend. Osiris (talk) 03:48, 12 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
(Sorry, I clearly don't stalk talk pages enough) I have been doing well, and it's nice to be back and see that some of the old people are still around. No problem about the BW, hopefully it will help us make some progress on the articles lacking sources! I hope you're also doing well! --Yottie =talk= 16:02, 15 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Would it be possible to get this page semiprotected for a while due to the vandalism? It's a redirect and not meant to be edited, so longer would be preferable, if it's allowed in policy. --Rschen7754 05:47, 15 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I've put a 6-month lock on the user page and a 1-month lock on the talk. I don't like doing it for any longer without the user's permission and it seems like a pretty recent thing here, so hopefully the protections will outlast. I've got it on watch. Osiris (talk) 08:55, 15 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Indefinite would be nice, or I suspect that will be back to protect it again soon. On other wikis, I've soft-redirected my user and talk pages to my enwp one, and I' think that I'll just do the same here. If anyone wants to contact me, they can do so at the one location. (talk page stalker) Talk page protection isn't a good idea, especially long-term. For one thing, there are automated tools that leave messages, and those tools can't see that you've redirected the page. Sometimes a user who doesn't have an enwiki account (or who is blocked there) would need to leave a message. You might want to set your preferences so that you get an email when a message is left for you. --Auntof6 (talk) 20:16, 16 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. That makes it easier. I can't indefinitely protect your talk page, but the user page is done. Osiris (talk) 10:35, 17 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Bernie Sanders GA

Hey Osiris, I was wondering if Bernie Sanders is ready for GA promotion. If not I'd appreciate if you can drop some suggestions so that I can fix the article. Thanks! --TDKR Chicago 101 (talk) 04:01, 24 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@TDKR Chicago 101: The last time I looked at it, it looked ready except for the dead links. But as I said, the content will have to change and, depending on how far he goes in the election, it could change quite drastically. So I think it should be reviewed once we know what happens. There's no point in saying this is a good article if it's going to look totally different in a few months' time. Osiris (talk) 04:04, 24 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Patrolling templates

Hi, Osiris. When you patrol new templates, could you take a minute to make sure the creator has use the right sort key for non-template categories? There's an editor who has been creating a bunch of new templates related to US counties, and he/she has been using a space instead of a lower-case tau for the sort key. Thanks. --Auntof6 (talk) 05:30, 24 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Oh yep. Sorry, I forget about that kind of thing. Osiris (talk) 06:07, 24 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
