Hello, A Ramanujan, and welcome to the Simple English Wikipedia! I hope you will be happy helping here. You should begin by reading these pages: Wikipedia:Useful, Help:Contents, Wikipedia:Policies and guidelines, and how to write Simple English articles. If you want some ideas of which pages to work on, read Wikipedia:Requested articles or the list of wanted pages.

Even though it is a good idea to research an article (like looking at the discussion page) before making large changes, please be bold and try! Any changes you make that are not perfect can be fixed later. We are also working most on core articles and the most common topics until this Wikipedia grows.

If you want to ask a question or talk with other members, you can visit our version of the "village pump" at Wikipedia:Simple talk. Administrators on Wikipedia can also help you with more difficult problems. You can also ask me for help. The best way to do that is to leave a message on my talk page. You should always sign your messages on Talk pages by typing "~~~~" (four tildes) at the end of your words.

If you would like to test Wikipedia, please use the sandbox. Please do not test Wikipedia by editing its articles.

Good luck and happy editing!--Eptalon 23:28, 20 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Your edits[change source]

Thanks for the article Goldbach's conjecture. Don't forget that every article should have at least the following:

  • A Category (use {{uncat}} if you don't know any that fits)
  • A link to at least one other language version of wikipedia (known as interwiki link).

Otherwise have fun editing here. --Eptalon 23:28, 20 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Short articles[change source]

Hello, my name is Razorflame, and I am a serious editor here on Simple English Wikipedia. I have noticed that you have created many pages here on Simple English Wikipedia, and that most of them are short (less than 1,000 bytes). When you create short articles like that, it would be best if you would add this template to the end of it (but before categories): {{stub}}. This would allow other editors to know that it is a short article that needs expansion. Please remember to put this at the end of your short articles in the future. Thanks, -Razorflame (contributions) Talk 14:59, 21 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Categories[change source]

Please include categories in your articles that you've created, as well as articles that you are going to create in the future. This will allow users to find them easier on this site. If you are unsure about which category they belong in, please include the {{uncat}} template so that you will allow other users to include the appropriate categories into them. Thanks, Razorflame (contributions) Talk 17:12, 21 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Userpage[change source]

I have fixed a typo on your userpage for you. I hope you don't mind. Razorflame (contributions) Talk 17:13, 21 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Category:Integers[change source]

While it is true that integers are numbers, they are not all numbers. They are only all positive and negative whole numbers. Therefore, I have undone your edit. Besides, they need to be seperated because many of the pages in the numbers category are already in the integers category. -Razorflame (contributions) Talk 20:15, 21 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Personal Attacks[change source]

Yes, they are considered personal attacks because by saying that I don't understand categorizing articles, when I obviously do know how to categorize pages is basically saying that I am stupid. That is insulting and therefore, is considered a personal attack. -Razorflame (contributions) Talk 20:49, 21 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

No, I said "appear". That was quite intentional. It was not a personal attack. adit 20:50, 21 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

QD tags[change source]

Don't remove qd tags placed on your article by other editors. If you think that there is a problem with what the editor is doing, please say so on the page's talk page. -Razorflame (contributions) Talk 21:00, 21 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not remove qd tags from articles. I have personally decided that I would rather there not be an integer category, because actually integers aren't simple enough for this website. -Razorflame (contributions) Talk 21:19, 21 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

What part of collaboration do you not understand. The category is useful. I want to keep it. You have no reason to delete it except as part of your continuing harassment of me. adit 21:21, 21 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
No, I am not deleting it to harass you. I am deleting it to solve the problem that has been created. -Razorflame (contributions) Talk 21:22, 21 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
That is not a useful solution. I am trying to solve it in a different way. Please let me. adit 21:24, 21 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
It is a solution that works. Besides, I created this category back when I was overcategorizing things, so I think that they should just have a numbers category and that's it. -Razorflame (contributions) Talk 21:25, 21 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
My solution also works and is an improvement. Yours is a regression. Just let me do it. Are you trying to make enemies? adit 21:27, 21 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Numbers[change source]

If it will appease you, I will personally request that my category be deleted. That will end this whole discussion. -Razorflame (contributions) Talk 21:08, 21 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop removing the QD tag that Razorflame added to Category:integers while he is waiting for an administrative response to the situation. He wants the category deleted since it is the seed of all the problems you've been having with Razorflame.  Lights  talk  21:27, 21 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Integers[change source]

I have changed the tag on Category:Integers from qd to rfd. I have suggested to Razorflame that he post it on the RfD page and suggest an alternate method for categorization for the numbers currently in this category. I would suggest that you participate in the conversation on that page or on the category's talk page. Thank you. · Tygrrr... 21:49, 21 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Apology[change source]

Hey adit, I just want to formally apologize for my actions yesterday. I was out of line and shouldn't have done what I did. Sorry for that. Let's put this incident behind us and continue forward. -Razorflame (contributions) Talk 01:23, 23 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

External Links[change source]

It was decided a while back to use Other websites instead of external links. Please include this is all of your future pages. Razorflame (contributions) Talk 01:40, 23 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I changed your page Yogi from a redirect to a disambig because Yogi can be many different things. Razorflame (contributions) Talk 02:05, 23 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Very good, you are right about that. adit 02:06, 23 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'm adding you to my list of friends here on Simple English Wikipedia! I hope you will do the same for me! Thanks for pointing out a mistake that I made, and here's to hoping we can be good friends! Razorflame (contributions) Talk 16:36, 23 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Categories[change source]

Please do not create categories for just a single article. There is no need for a category unless there are several articles (3+) to go into it. -- Creol(talk) 16:36, 23 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

A category such as Slovakian people should also be in slovakia. That is, the "people by nationality" and the name of the country as well as the continent (3 cats-- Barliner  talk  16:38, 23 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome back![change source]

It's good to see you back and editing again :) I hope to see you editing more frequently in the future :) Razorflame 17:17, 8 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Gnosticism[change source]

Your article on Gnosticism needs a little more simplification. I find it a little hard to understand what the article is about. I've also fixed some of the grammar in the article. Razorflame 20:12, 8 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. It's hard to understand even without simple language. I may come back to it later after I think about it some more. I suspect it is one of those topics which will become very long just to explain the basic concept in simple English, much less the details. adit (talk) 20:15, 8 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Barnstar[change source]

Barnstar Congratulations: You have been given a Barnstar!

In recognition of the new articles on Buddhism we have thanks to you Bärliner 22:03, 14 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Gnosticism[change source]

Could you look this over. I think it is simple enough now. But I want to make sure I have not changed the meaning. Thanks --Bärliner 11:32, 15 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Sandbox[change source]

I have left your sandbox. There are always useful for tests, lists etc. I, use mine regularly. It also saves the trouble of recreating it every time you want to test or draft something. Of course if you want it deleted, I will. --Bärliner 17:07, 24 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

RfD nomination of Shri Gurudev Mahendranath[change source]

An editor has requested deletion of Shri Gurudev Mahendranath, an article you created. We appreciate your changes, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article meets Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not").

Please comment on the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Requests for deletion/Requests/2013/Shri Gurudev Mahendranath and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also change the article during the discussion to address the nominator's concerns. But you should not remove the requests for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you very much. Osiris (talk) 08:32, 29 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
