RfD nomination of User:AdmiralAlex/Sandbox[change source]

An editor has requested deletion of User:AdmiralAlex/Sandbox, an article you created. We appreciate your changes, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article meets Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not").

Please comment on the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Requests for deletion/Requests/2015/User:AdmiralAlex/Sandbox and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also change the article during the discussion to address the nominator's concerns. But you should not remove the requests for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you very much. //nepaxt 19:44, 29 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Also, it helps if you write something in the box that says 'change summary' whenever you change an article. Below are some useful links to make your time here simpler. Happy changing! Moving material off-wiki[change source]

Regarding our discussion elsewhere, you can try a Google search for "Converting wiki markup to HTML" which will yield numerous results that may allow you to keep the exact formatting, if you choose. I mentioned using a spreadsheet because spreadsheets have the native ability to do the math functions that you have applied to the data, but you might have to reformat it a bit before you get the results you are looking for, since spreadsheets don't usually interpret wiki markup. I strongly suggest that you copy the source code to notepad or elsewhere, just to preserve it, before it gets deleted from the site. Once you have done that, you can blank the information yourself since it is within your userspace. Because of the type of data you are storing, you might consider using genealogy software instead of wiki markup -- this would give a visual representation of the data that you have stored. Another option would be to use a database (such as MS Access) to store the info, but I'm not going to be able to walk you through the process. Good luck. Have you copied the information to an off-wiki location yet? Etamni | ✉   18:21, 5 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
yes, I have moved it to a word document. AdmiralAlex (talk) 19:40, 5 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
