February 2022[change source]

We like and strongly encourage helpful changes to Wikipedia, but "John Beckham‎" was directly copied and pasted from the main English Wikipedia. Please do not do that. Such articles are usually too complex. They need to be simplified before or immediately after being added to the Simple English Wikipedia. In addition, be sure to include attribution on the article's talk page. Thank you. MathXplore (talk) 11:53, 17 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your advice, should i need to re-write the article in order to get it published? Avi.mp04 (talk) 15:50, 17 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
no, you just need to simplify it kolva | chat? 16:01, 17 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
There are a couple of issues. One of them is the copy and pasting, which can be fixed through attributing (see the link MathXPlore posted) and by simplifying like Kolva said. However, any subject with an article on Wikipedia needs to be notable, or in other words, significant enough to be written about on here. I recommend reading our policy on notability for musicians to understand whether John Beckham fits that criteria. I also recommend reading the links I posted down below. Welcome[change source]

Hello, Avi.mp04, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your changes. I hope you like it here and decide to stay. Sadly, one of the pages you started, like "John Beckham", may not fit some of Wikipedia's guidelines for new pages and may soon be deleted.

There is a page about making articles you may want to read. It is called "How to write Simple English articles". If you need help, please post a message at "Simple talk", where other experienced Wikipedians can answer any questions you have. Or, you can type {{helpme}} on your user talk page, and someone will soon answer your questions. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy changing pages here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will turn into your username and the date. If you have any questions, ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome! Griff (talk) 15:53, 17 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

RfD nomination of Intellectual Indies[change source]

An editor has requested deletion of Intellectual Indies, an article you created. We appreciate your changes, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article meets Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in the nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not").

Please comment on the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Requests for deletion/Requests/2022/Intellectual Indies and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also change the article during the discussion to address the nominator's concerns. But you should not remove the requests for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you very much. MathXplore (talk) 12:47, 1 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
