Welcome[change source]

Hello! I am assuming you have come over from the English Wikipedia, so you are probably familiar with the way this wiki works. I hope you like it here and decide to stay. Here are a few links to help you adjust:

There is much to do here. For example, there are a lot of articles that do not exist yet, which you can bring over from the English Wikipedia and simplify. Do have a look around and see what you would like to do. Thank you for joining us! If you need any help, be sure to visit Simple Talk or contact an administrator. Happy changing! Quick deletion of Over-the-top[change source]

The page you wrote, Over-the-top, has been selected for quick deletion. If you think this page should be kept, please add {{wait}} below the line {{QD}} and say why on the talk page. If the page is already gone, but you think this was an error, you can ask for it to be undeleted. You can find more information about the reason here. Articles and references[change source]

Hello and welcome! All articles (both new and old) need to have reliable references. I have noticed on some of the articles you created you did not include these. I encourage you to read WP:MOS to learn about how we do things here at simple vs. en wiki. Thanks - PDLTalk to me!Please don't eat da 🐑! 08:44, 24 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I understand. Sources exist for the articles I create even if I haven’t added them. They are all obviously notable topics because many other Wikipedias have articles about them. Dronebogus (talk) 10:17, 24 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Irregardless if they have the articles or not. Each wiki is separate and each article needs to have sources. We get a lot of editors that just create a mass of short articles with no references which eventually get deleted or tagged and it’s not another editors job to add references to an article someone created. I hope you understand this is not against you just an ongoing issue that we try to get ahead of. Thanks - PDLTalk to me!Please don't eat da 🐑! 10:42, 24 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I’ve added a reference to one of my unreferenced articles Dronebogus (talk) 10:44, 24 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I looked at it however it is invalid as it leads to no where. We need to be able to see the reference. Also, please put them in properly (not as an external link). This is done in the editor by using the cite feature where you can put in the url and hit the magnifying icon and it will fill in what it can for you. The https://www.metacritic.com/games/platforms/pc/halflife2episode2 is an error page. You will need to do a search or even use the wayback machine to find it. You almost had it.
  1. I corrected the spelling error
  2. We do not use the url status (a bot uses that. FYI status = live will cause it to link to the original and not the archive.
  3. Also make sure when you add references you update the access date since you created the article recently having an access date before the date it was created shows it wasn’t verified and just copied over
  4. Please make sure you create a reference section for these as well. I previously added it for you on this article
Just keep adding a few more sources and you’ll be set. Thanks for adding to simple and if you have any questions, please feel free to reach out or post on Simple Talk. Thanks - PDLTalk to me!Please don't eat da 🐑! 11:10, 24 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
