Unauthorized Bots

Hi, I have noticed you have created a bot without making a request at Wikipedia talk:Bots. Please do so before the account gets blocked. Zaxxon0 (talk) 01:02, 3 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Bot is already making changes and is not approved to do so without a request made. --Thegooduser Let's Chat 🍁 01:03, 3 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Reversion on Clarice Phelps

Hi, I see that you are new here. Please have a look at our Style Guidelines. We use "Other websites" here. [1]. Thanks, and thank you for bringing that over. I was looking for a source to borrow from yesterday. --Gotanda (talk) 02:19, 4 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Gotanda: Okay. Thank you for telling me. I am still pretty new to the whole concept of what qualifies as “Simple English” despite all of my looking at the policies. --Examknow (lets chat! ) 02:23, 4 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

user warning templates

Hey, I noticed that in Special:Diff/6524847 this edit, you are not using the warning templates the way that they are intended to use, both not substituting and signing either. Here is what auntof6 told me to do:

{{subst:uw-vandalism1|Page in question here}} ~~~~

Or just use twinkle.

Hope this helps you :) Computer Fizz (talk) 16:07, 4 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Computer Fizz: Hey man. It was my understanding that vandalism4im was for cases where there was obvious intentional vandalism or when there were previous warnings. Is this not the case? --Examknow (lets chat! ) 16:11, 4 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I wasn't talking about which level you chose, just about how you use it like above. So if you were using 4im, just use:

{{subst:uw-vandalism4im|Page in question here}} ~~~~

And basically every admin has told me a different conflicting thing about 4im so I personally just ignore its existence. Computer Fizz (talk) 16:39, 4 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Computer Fizz: Okay I will do it that way. I am still new to Simple Wikipedia so I am not able to use twinkle to do anything except welcome users. --Examknow (lets chat! ) 16:42, 4 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah I don't know why that's a thing lol. I'm trying to make an updated version of twinkle that removes that restriction but still having some technical problems with it. Computer Fizz (talk) 16:44, 4 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@Computer Fizz: Just out of curiosity are you a media wiki developer as well?

--Examknow (lets chat! ) 16:47, 4 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I dabble in PHP and know a bit about how MediaWiki works but I don't have a job there or anything. Computer Fizz (talk) 16:49, 4 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I am just a volunteer developer and I just develop extensions for media wiki. Examknow (lets chat! ) 17:03, 4 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
