Your Contributions[change source]

Your additions to articles are very complex. Please review WP:HOW about how to write simply, and if you can please simplify the articles you have written in the past. Regards, Vermont (talk) 21:48, 30 July 2019 (UTC)

@Vermont: I have simplified the articles as best as I can. I am not a professional one. Znotch190711 (Talk || Edits) 07:24, 31 July 2019 (UTC)

Wikiproject tagging[change source]

Please be aware we don't mark on talk pages that articles are part of a WikiProject. We don't officially support WikiProjects here which is why you only see them in userspace. -DJSasso (talk) 11:22, 14 August 2019 (UTC)

@Ottawahitech, Djsasso: Listen to DJ. I think that wikiprojects should be recognized. -Znotch190711 (Talk || Edits) 13:01, 14 August 2019 (UTC)
We don't tag wikiprojects here for a number of reasons. One is we try to keep things as simple as possible here. That is the purpose of our wiki. But the biggest reason is we have less than 30 truly active editors on this wiki. As such Wikiprojects are highly inefficient for us as there usually are not more than 1 or 2 people that are actually working on a given subject. And in the cases where there are we recommend just having the discussions about whatever the issue is on Simple Talk instead of hidden away so the wider community can comment. -DJSasso (talk) 14:04, 14 August 2019 (UTC)

about your wiki[change source]

the wiki link you recently added on your userpage does not resolve. did you made a typo? Computer Fizz (talk | contribs) 02:42, 23 August 2019 (UTC)

@Computer Fizz:Thanks for the notification. I am currently at school, so I might not be as active... but please be sure to sign up over there on that wiki...--Znotch190711 (Talk || Edits || CentralAuth) 04:44, 23 August 2019 (UTC)

Your signature...[change source]

...is extremely long, to the point that simply adding it to a page is considered a major edit. Please consider reducing it to a normal-length one, both in wikitext and what is shown on-screen. We have signature limits for a reason. See WP:SIG#Length. Regards, Vermont (talk) 15:56, 27 August 2019 (UTC)

you could consider adding it to Special:MyPage/sig then typing {{Special:MyPage/sig}} 16:29, 27 August 2019 (UTC) whenever you want to type something. this also has the drawback that when you update the sig it'll start messing around with all your old comments too. Computer Fizz (talk) 16:29, 27 August 2019 (UTC)
My new signature: @Vermont, Computer Fizz: --Znotch190711 (Talk - Contributions - CentralAuth) 02:15, 28 August 2019 (UTC)
that's actually slightly longer than it was before. Computer Fizz (talk) 02:16, 28 August 2019 (UTC)
@Computer Fizz: At least that it had less characters: --Znotch190711 (Talk - Contributions - CentralAuth) 02:19, 28 August 2019 (UTC)

Blocked templates[change source]

Block templates are usually only added to userpages to replace an existing userpage of users who had them. Adding it onto LTA's pages are unnecessary. Best, Vermont (talk) 23:50, 27 September 2019 (UTC)

@Vermont: Why? According to my habit of editing userpages of blocked users that I had before I started to edit here, userpages of blocked users should be easily identified. Perhaps I should create a bot that automatically adds {{blocked}} to indefinitely blocked users. Still, it is unclear on what you said. - Znotch190711 (Talk - Contributions - CentralAuth) 23:55, 27 September 2019 (UTC)
It's useful when you're going to the page of a formerly-established user that's now blocked, but not when their username is literally a personal attack and they're an LTA. Vermont (talk) 23:57, 27 September 2019 (UTC)
@Vermont: Thanks. --Znotch190711 (Talk - Contributions - CentralAuth) 23:58, 27 September 2019 (UTC)
