Prime Minister of Canada

The Prime Minister of Canada is the person who normally exercises most political power in Canada. He or she is appointed by the Governor General, and is normally the leader of the biggest political party in the House of Commons (the lower and elected house of the Canadian Parliament). In 2006, Stephen Harper became the 22nd Prime Minister of Canada.
