Afghan Civil War (disambiguation)[change source]

Aghan Civil War - there have at least been two.

I don't know the history in detail: a) The conflict with the Soviet involvment, possibly a proxy conflict in the cold war era, b) the Taliban control of Afghanistan, in the early 2000s c) The UN deployed troops, 2000-odd to now (US is pulling out) d) (Likely to happen) The different ethnic groups in Afghanistan fighting for supremacy after the pull-out of US (and other ISAF) troops in 2021. No idea which to classify as a civil war. Note that the Mozambican Civil War and Angolan Civil War were also both proxy conflicts. So, I guess the label "Civil war" is probably arbitrary. Also my recollection goes back to the early 20th century (1930s/1940s) there may have been other conflicts beforehand. --Eptalon (talk) 14:48, 29 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
