December 2020[change source]

Thank you for your changes to Wikipedia, BatMobileLostTheWheel. However, I would like to remind you that when you use certain templates, you should substitute them by adding "subst:" before the template's name. An example is, use "{{subst:uw-subst}}" instead of "{{uw-subst}}". This reduces server load and prevents accidental blanking of the template. Thank you. --IWI (talk) 15:49, 30 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, ImprovedWikiImprovement. BatMobileLostTheWheel (talk) 15:51, 30 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

It' quite alright :) easy mistake to make. --IWI (talk) 15:52, 30 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, I know. Batman makes mistakes, especially when I lost the wheel on my bat mobile. BatMobileLostTheWheel (talk) 15:54, 30 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

With this edit you have continued to not substitute these templates. Please substitute welcome and warning templates. --IWI (talk) 20:48, 30 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, sorry, dude. BatMobileLostTheWheel (talk) 20:51, 30 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I warned an IP vandal but this time I substituted the template. BatMobileLostTheWheel (talk) 20:59, 30 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Just a quick recommendation... there are gadgets you can use (like Twinkle and Vandal Warner) where you can just click and warn users quickly. These also substitute the templates automatically, so you don't have to worry about substituting templates. :) Belwine💬📜 22:26, 30 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, but the Joker’s coming here on 4 January. I better stop him as well. BatMobileLostTheWheel (talk) 04:40, 31 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Welcomes[change source]

Hi there,

just wanted to let you know that while welcoming new editors is good, we should wait until they have made some good edits to decide how to welcome them. We do have various welcome templates, some for good editors, and some for editors that may be a problem. For example, in the case of User talk:2601:241:8001:8310:706C:B7BD:FB37:3F81, their first edit wasn't vandalism, but it wasn't exactly helpful either. So, we shouldn't send them a welcome message thanking them for their changes, as their changes were not helpful. If you need any help with that, let me know and we can go over the possible templates to help out. Thanks.--Gordonrox24 | Talk 04:55, 31 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Per WP:DENY that specific person should be reverted and ignored. And it was vandalism. --IWI (talk) 04:57, 31 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I disagree, editing chess article's talk pages with content about chess is not vandalism. It isn't helpful, but they are not vandalizing the article. If we want to discuss that topic further, we can do so on my talk page. Irregardless, welcome messages should wait until we are clear of the user's intentions.--Gordonrox24 | Talk 05:02, 31 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I don’t know what you mean there, dude but I do know where you’re coming from. BatMobileLostTheWheel (talk) 05:00, 31 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The person has been vandalising us for many years, and we have found it is best to ignore them. Please read WP:DENY. --IWI (talk) 05:01, 31 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I’ve read it but I’m only trying to help you. Now I know this editor has been vandalizing Wikipedia for years, I am a warrior, I will make this all come to a complete stop. This is Batman’s work. BatMobileLostTheWheel (talk) 05:03, 31 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Please believe me when I say that sending warnings to this user will make it worse. Per WP:DENY, I won't be discussing further. --IWI (talk) 05:06, 31 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I need to make a speech to all Wikipedians.[change source]

Were we so different, they’re a young species, the vandals and other new editors have much to learn, but I’ve seen goodness in them. Freedom is the right of all sentient beings, but there is only one way we can end this war with vandalism. We must destroy the cube. If all else fails, I will unite it with the core of Wikipedia. A necessary sacrifice to bring peace to Wikipedia. It’s been an honour serving with you all. BatMobileLostTheWheel (talk) 05:10, 31 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I’m sorry but to that I would have to say no. As an Autobot and a warrior, I have the courage to battle and stop the war with vandalism. Now, our discussion has reached a consensus. Good day. BatMobileLostTheWheel (talk) 05:13, 31 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

You may want to read en:WP:BATTLEGROUND then, in that case. This is an encyclopedia, not a battleground or war to "fight". Frankly, the only way to stop or reduce (particulary long-term) vandalism is to revert, ask an admin to block, and ignore. --IWI (talk) 05:19, 31 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I accept. BatMobileLostTheWheel (talk) 05:32, 31 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Vermont,[change source]

I didn’t do anything wrong. Please could you unblock me? BatMobileLostTheWheel (talk) 00:31, 1 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Vermont blocked you with the rationale of a checkuser block, which would mean you have abused multiple accounts. This is against the rules. --IWI (talk) 00:33, 1 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I haven’t even attempted that before. I’m not a sockpuppet, believe me. BatMobileLostTheWheel (talk) 00:34, 1 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

You can ask Vermont, who has seen the checkuser evidence. If the evidence shows you have abused multiple accounts, you in all likelihood have. --IWI (talk) 00:36, 1 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I promise, dude. If I had been a sockpuppet in the first place, I would have been blocked anyway, but I’m telling you that I’m not a sockpuppet. BatMobileLostTheWheel (talk) 00:37, 1 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Eh...no, you have many other accounts. Vermont (talk) 11:55, 1 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
