I thought you meant the article of Maria Rohl i wrote on Wictionary by mistake, but when i saw that you reverted the adition i made on Maria Rohl here on wikipedia, i realise you ment that! I wrote that article, (as you can see on it's history) and a little later, i added, that in the later years of her career, the competition of photography had a bad input on her career, as she was a portrait-drawer. Thur and Woden

Woden is Anglo-Saxon and 'Thur' in Thursday comes from 'Thunor'. Before claiming someone is a vandal do research. The Norse article ISN'T yours and thus editing it isn't vandalism. My edit was correct as the English Days of the week are from the English form of Germanic polytheism and NOT the Norse

deleting from QDs vs test template

Thanks for deleting the test page. Question: I don't delete text from an article I've added a QD template to unless it's an attack page, but {{subst:test}} says "Your test worked, and it is now gone". If an admin isn't around to delete it immediately, the template is not quite correct.

Should the template be changed to say "and is now, or soon will be, gone"? Alternatively, is there a way I can add that text to a test message I insert without having to insert it and then edit it again? Or should I always blank pages when I add QD to it since the admin looking to delete it can access the last change? TransUtopian (talk) 12:10, 3 June 2008 (UTC)

I undid your change to {{test}} caused by this conversation. Test should be used for changes and as such should always have been undone/reverted before the warning is issed. For QD articles, {{tl:Testarticle}} (testarticle, test2article, or test3article) should be used and includes the "or soon will be" addition already. -- Creol(talk) 23:55, 3 June 2008 (UTC)

According to the people who actually started this version of wikipedia, what is the exact target audience? I don't see how it can be for children (regardless of the level of English writing) if it allows videos of men ejaculating and other topics that would be rated XXX if it was shown in a movie. I also don't understand what value it brings to have another adult version of wikipedia with the same adult content in "simple English" for non-native English speakers. Couldn't these people read the adult articles in their native language?

Some people propose that wikipedia create a THIRD English wiki for students (elementary, middle, and high school). And how realistically are we going to maintain all of these three versions of these articles in English? This purpose of this wiki makes no sense. I believe in freedom of speech, but to say that ALL versions of ENGLISH wikipedia must include this adult content is crazy. Zzmonty (talk) 20:50, 24 December 2008 (UTC)
